I am a software engineer who focuses on the full spectrum of frontend, from UI to site performance.
The principles of human-centered design and concensus-driven decision-making have shaped my career and guide my decision-making process. On every team I've joined, across multiple different industries, I use these values to encourage healthy communication among peers and across departments.
Currently, I lead frontend implementation at a startup in Tokyo, Japan. It's been quite a shift for this Chicagoan! You can read about more my work and life abroad here on my blog.
Outside of work I sew, knit, hike, read, and take extremely long walks. I also run an arts and crafts workshop in Tokyo (on hiatus).
